Thank you ASIS International Greater Orlando Chapter, for making 2025 an outstanding year. As we close out 2025, I want to personally acknowledge the 2025 Chapter Board and Committee members for a job well done!

During 2025, the Chapter achieved its mission of staying financially solvent, providing a dynamic Chapter to support security practitioners and growing the Chapter membership. As of October 2025, the Chapter supported 296 security practitioners and of those, 108 were board certified. The top three job groups maintaining security certifications were Corporate Security, Consultants, and Hospital Security.
Lastly, I will be the Chapter’s Chairman for 2026 and I look forward to serving with enthusiasm and pride. I also want to welcome the rest of the 2026 Board and Committee Chairs.

Security Officer Award Recipients (SOAR)
The Greater Orlando Chapter was once again honored to host the annual Security Officer Awards Recognition (SOAR) ceremony. This event has proven itself to be the most significant event of the year for Security Officers in the Central Florida region and has recognized hundreds of the “best of the best” among Central Florida security industry over the last 24 years with past attendees including the sheriffs of four counties, chiefs from area departments, directors of security, hotel and resort management and other business leaders.
Security Leaders, Agencies and Organizations from throughout the Greater Orlando area are eligible to nominate security professionals for a wide range of accomplishments, including community service, lifesaving/heroic actions and outstanding service in the field.

Community Service
In keeping with the ASIS International’s moto of giving back to the community, the Chapter proudly hosted multiple volunteer events in 2025. Members served lunch in conjunction with the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. We are also made contributions to the ASIS International Foundation and the Children's Safety Village of Central Florida. To end the year, we will be holding our annual toy drive with the December holiday gathering.
